My tot actually enjoys chewing on the opposite end also as a teether. The forks are more sturdy than expected and work pretty well for stabbing softer foods like soft meats, pasta or ravioli. Doesn't seem to work as well with soft veggies. They tend to split apart and fall off so I use the spoons for that kind of stuff. The mouth guard does the job of preventing kiddo from gagging himself. Good size for tiny hands.
